The Point of the Race
Rewarding members for frequent participation
The running club is initiating a new “competition” on January 1, 2006, to be known as “The
Point of the Race” competition.
Many members of the club enjoy participating in running events but don’t always finish in the
medals of their age group or overall. In recognition of the dedication of our members to
organized running events and the hundreds of dollars in entry fees that each of these athletes
contribute to the charitable causes the events support, your running club wants to honor you!
The competition runs from January 1 through December 31. Points will be awarded for the
completion of an event; it does not matter where you finish in the pack. The award structure will
be announced later in the year after we gauge the level of member interest. Sign up online now to
